Are we ready for third world war ? 

Recently, Syria used chemical weapons on a section of people. The entire world saw women , children and other citizens die helplessly. It was very painful to see small children battling for their life with moderate medical help available. 

Those who administered chemical weapons must be having their own reasons for doing so. Only thing which they should realize is that tomorrow someone else shall use it on them. 

The chain of using chemical bombs will continue and may be whole earth atmosphere shall be filled with these poizonous gas and there shall not be any body present to argue for or against any issue. All issues shall stand settled ! 

Due to the act of Syria and other nations like Russia backing them, countries like US , UK and france have come together and they have attacked chemical equipment making installations as per intelligence available with them. They are happy that something has been done to prevent such attacks in future. However, this impression may last for a short while and there may be other locations wherein this can still be made. 

Today, Pakistan has also successfully tested their long range missile called "Babar" which can cover range up to 700 km. 

A country like China is also flexing and extending their footprints in sri lanka , pakistan and other countries. They are also facing US head on by taking control of trade. Many chinese companies have acquired businesses in US and recently largest pork producer was sold to Chinese entrepreneur. 

There are good chances that there shall be possibility of starting third world war for following reasons. 

1) Nations are getting divided into groups with opposite views. 

2) Many country heads are facing unrest / opposition within their own country. They would like to start war so that public attention is diverted.

 3) Defence equipment manufacturing is billion dollar business and they need more business. 

The third world war will be very different than earlier 2 wars. The technology has gone way ahead in last 76 years. Earlier wars were fought with foot soldiers but now it would be more use of equipment. Laser guided long range missiles shall be used extensively. Use of fighter planes for bombing and naval ships , submarines shall play greater role. There may be enemy within and does not have to come from across border. 

The first use of atom bomb was done in 2nd world war. The destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is known. Now there are many nations who are having access to nuclear button and many who can purchase. If they decide to do tit for tat then it is a matter of few minutes for war to end. As a common man what preparation we can do ? 

It is difficult question and there is nothing fool proof which we can do. However in order to exercise our right to survive we must do and force government to do following 

1) Adequate food storage 

2) Underground water storage. Similar to one used in rain harvesting. 

3) Localized electricity generation using solar panels , wind mills etc. 

4) The undergroung metro should have bigger areas underneath so that city population can be accomodated below. 

5) Make bunkers compulsory for new housing complexes and make one in existing complexes and school , college , office and hospital buildings. 

Last but not the least is to encourage prayers in temples , churches , mosques , synagogue , gurudwaras , agyaris etc.
